Recently, a friend accepted a position in a company that needed her expertise.  During the application process, she was asked to submit a statement of strengths.  Previously, in a coaching program, she had identified her life purpose and she knew that her business experience had to be consistent with her purpose or this would not be the right career decision for her.

With clarity and power, she stated both her purpose and her intentions for the quality of support she required, and then waited.  She was promptly offered significantly more salary based on her statement.

Life expanding power is about our truth and authenticity.  It becomes a beacon of light that shines in the world.

As a CEO for 17 years, I knew “the buck stopped with me.” While collaboration was a necessity the “my way or the highway” idea was alive and well in my result driven, strategic, and productive mentality.

Years later when I was being coached, my life purpose emerged centered on raising consciousness with power fueled by love rather than force.  First my consciousness had to be raised and new thoughts, feelings, and behaviors began to take shape.  Now, I understand and live concepts such as real collaboration, support, consistency, and harmony.

It didn’t change my ability to lead a large project but now I come from love and well-being.  What a great difference in both my stress level and outcomes.
